The Community Resilience Lab is an interdisciplinary research team based at the University of Buffalo School of Architecture & Urban Planning. Our work focuses on developing socially equitable, livable & healthy urban communities. We build on approaches in urban planning, geography, urban ecology and landscape ecology to explore vulnerability to weather extremes, multi-sectoral environmental management, access to social-ecological resources, and other integrative research topics. If you are interested in collaborating with the lab, please contact us: zoehamst@buffalo.edu

Volunteers are needed to take part in a study on the impacts of heat and cold events in Erie County! If you do not have central air conditioning in your home and are at least 18 years of age, you may be eligible to participate.

As a participant in this study, you would be asked to host an indoor temperature/relative humidity sensor inside your home, and take part in two semi-structured interviews. You will be offered a $50 incentive for each interview.

If you are interested in more information about this study please contact us!
